MADAWASKA – Adrien C. Desjardins, 83, died Jan. 17, 2007, at a Madawaska nursing home. He was born March 11, 1923, in St. David, the son of Louis and Josephine (Beaulieu) Desjardins. He was a fourth degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 2638, Madawaska. He is survived by three daughters, Judith Desjardins of Biddeford, Joan Marquis and her husband, David, of Saco, Linda Morin and her husband, Andrew, of Fort Kent; six sons, Robert and his wife, Yvonne, of Grand Isle, Scott and his wife, Elizabeth, of Cecilia, Ky., Ricky and his wife, Stacey, of Mount Pleasant, S.C., Daniel and his wife, Carolle, Ronald and Peter, all of Madawaska; 19 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; one sister, Claudette Martin of Southington, Conn., several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Viola (Pelletier) Desjardins in 1997. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Friends and relatives may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. until time of services Saturday at Daigle Funeral Home. Interment will be at the parish cemetery in the spring.
