HAMILTON, Mass. – Ruth Eileen (Gallant) Dolan, 80, wife of the late James W. Dolan, died Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2007, surrounded by her family at her home, after a brief illness. Mrs. Dolan was born in Bangor, the daughter of the late Joseph and Eleanor Gallant. Mrs. Dolan was an active parishioner of the Church of St. Paul, Hamilton, Mass., and for many years worked as a volunteer on election days, at the polls, for the town of Hamilton. Mrs. Dolan is survived by three sons, Timothy B. Dolan of New Hampshire, Patrick Dolan and his wife, Robin, of Deerfield, N.H., and David Dolan and his wife, Melissa, of Hamilton, Mass.; two daughters, M. Jean LeBlanc and her husband, John, of Danvers, Mass., and Eleanor Williams and her husband, Dexter, of Belmont, Mass.; a sister, Maryellen Ireland of Bangor; 11 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Suzanne Dolan of New Hampshire; sisters-in-law, Patricia Dolan, Katherine Edwards, Eleanor Ryder, all of Bangor and Mary Ellen Dolan of Danvers, Mass., many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, two great-great-nephews and many good friends. A funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Pauls’ Church, Union Street, Hamilton, Mass. Visiting hours will be held 4-7 p.m. Friday at Lee, Moody and Russell Funeral Home, 9 Dane St., Beverly, Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the North Shore, 10 Elm St., Danvers, MA 01923 or to the Massachusetts Chapter Autism Society of America, 47 Walnut St., Wellesley Hills, MA 02481-2108.
