CORINNA – Agnes Melvina Brown, 79, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother went home to be with her Lord May 10, 2007, surrounded by her loving family at a Bangor hospital. She was born Nov. 5, 1927, in Dexter, the daughter of Jerry and Geneva (Leo) Ganeau. Agnes married Homer Brown in 1949 and resided in Corinna for all of her 58 years of married life. She loved her retirement and spending time with her family. She enjoyed caring for her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; they were the joy of her life. Agnes was a member of the Morse’s Corner Baptist Church, Corinna, where she served as deaconess and sang in the choir. She was employed at Eastland Woolen Mill until her retirement. She was known for her kind and gentle spirit and was loved by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed. Agnes is survived by her husband, Homer; two daughters, Linda and husband, Mike Allen, of Bradford, and Donna McKusick of Corinna; a son, Allen and wife, Linda Brown, of Dexter; a brother, Arthur Ganeau of Corinth; six grandchildren, Michele and husband, Mike Bryson, Paul and wife, Jessica Dyer, Peter and wife, Danielle Ruksznis and her son, Hayden, Kimberly and husband, Jason Lovley, Nicole Ruksznis, and Timothy Brown; five great-grandchildren, Hunter Dyer, Noah Lovley, Nicholas Lovley, Taylor Bryson and Ava Lovley. She was predeceased by three brothers, Augustus, Lawrence and Francis Ganeau. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, May 12, at Crosby & Neal Funeral Chapel, 68 Exeter Road, Corinna, with Pastor Clarence Arno officiating. Burial will be at Morses Corner Cemetery, Corinna. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Agnes Brown Memorial Fund, care of Jessica Dyer, 78 Exeter Road, Corinna, ME 04928.
