AGNES MARY MCNEAL WOODLAND, Aroostook County – Agnes Mary (Taggett) McNeal, 69, beloved wife for 38 years to Joseph McNeal, died Sept. 25, 2008, surrounded by her loving family, at her son’s residence, after a year-long battle with cancer. She was born Oct. 28, 1938, in St. Francis, the daughter of Roy and Alphena (Michaud) Taggett. Agnes was employed at Green Acres Restaurant for 32 years and also at MeCon Manufacturing for 14 years. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother to her family. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She spent as much time as she could with her two grandsons. Agnes is survived by her husband, Joseph of Woodland; one son, Richard Taggett and his wife, Tara and their two sons, Wyatt and Jesse Taggett, of Woodland; four brothers, Roy and his wife, Nadine, of Bristol, Conn., Ivan and his wife, Debbie, of Hampden, Berton and his wife, Debbie, of St. Francis, and Sherman and his wife, Penny, of Statesville, N.C.; four sisters, Theresa Johnson and her husband, Tom, of Caribou, Letha Hamilton and her husband, Charles, of Yarmouth, Mona Collins of Southington, Conn., and Leola Jaundreau and her husband, Doyle, of St. Francis; one sister-in-law, Candace Pangburn and her husband, Garry, of Washburn; her father-in-law, Earl “Buddy” McNeal of Woodland; a special aunt, Elmyra Doucette of Caribou; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents; four brothers, Earl, Vinal, Merrill and Vaughn; a sister, Maureen Taggett; and her mother-in-law, Gina (Wark) McNeal. Friends may call 11 a.m. until time of services Monday, Sept. 29, at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. Services will be held 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev.
