HAMLIN and FRANKLIN, N.C. – Alan J. Martin, 49, died April 9, 2007, as a result of an early morning plane crash in western North Carolina. He was born Nov. 6, 1957, in Caribou, the son of Ronald and Della (Deveau) Martin, formerly of Hamlin. Funeral arrangements and a complete obituary will be published at a later date by the Ouellette-Thibault Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren.
