BANGOR – Albert A. Randall Jr., 90, husband of the late Avis L. (Rideout) Randall, died March 28, 2004, at the Maine Veterans Home, Bangor. He was born May 9, 1913, in Cherryfield, the son Albert A. and Rose (Oakes) Randall Sr. He served in the U.S. Army in the Graves Registration during World War II, and was a member of the Norman Dow Post VFW and the American Legion OHMH of Orono. Abe owned and operated Randall’s Taxi and Avis Rental Car for many years. Surviving are three children, Mary Ellen Edson and her husband, James, of Concord, Mass., Donna M. Darrow and her husband, Fred, of Rockport, Albert A. “Bucky” Randall III and his wife, Suzette, of Glenburn; nine grandchildren, Albert A. “Chip” Randall IV, Matthew B. Randall and his wife, Jaime, Tawn Darrow, Jeff Darrow and his wife, Teenah, Scott Darrow and his wife, Maribeth, Pamela Laventure and her husband, Jimmy, Karen Edson, David Edson and his wife, Julie, and Kendra Edson; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by an infant daughter; a sister, Madeline; and a brother, Milford. Friends may call 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, March 31, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, with the Rev. Adam Soderberg, pastor of the East Orrington Congregational Church officiating. Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Brookings-Smith Family Center, 163 Center St., following the services Thursday.
