BELFAST – Albert E. Ingraham, 85, of Belfast, passed away following a lengthy illness at an Orono healthcare facility. He was born Oct. 20, 1918, in Knox, the son of John and Carrie (Greeley) Ingraham Sr. He was a graduate of Freedom Academy and owned and operated Gold Top Stock Farm with his father and brother for many years before moving onto his own dairy farm. He established Ingraham Equipment, Co. with his brother, John, in 1960. Later he became the caretaker at Horce Hildreth’s Estate in Northport. Albert was an avid snowmobiler and enjoyed many outings on the trails with family and friends. He was a past master of the Unity Lodge of Thorndike, a member of King Solomon’s Council, Belfast, a 65 year member of the Maine State Grange, past master and 65 year member of Dirigo Grange and a past worthy patron and life member of the Order of the Eastern Star. He was predeceased by his wife, Lona; and a sister, Alcadia Price. Albert is survived by a son, Allan J. Ingraham of Levant; a daughter, Linda I. Seng and her husband, William, of Bloomfield Hills, Mich.; a sister, Hattie Storer of Portland; a brother, John W. Ingraham Jr. and his wife, Beverley, of Knox; a sister-in-law, Margaret D. Eaton of Lombard, Ill.; six grandchildren, Jodi and Rick Albert, Jill Ingraham, Karen and Joseph Dick, Thomas and Darey Seng, Bradley D. Seng, Brian and Kathleen Seng; 12 great-grandchildren; and 12 nieces and nephews. Visiting hours with a Masonic service will be held from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, July 18, 2004, at the Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 19, at the Knox Ridge Baptist Church, with Pastor Matthew Shaw officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Freedom, with the Rev. Myrick Cross officiating. Family and friends are invited to a luncheon at Dirigo Grange Hall following the interment.
