PRESQUE ISLE – Albert P. McIntyre, 78, died Aug. 8, 2008, at a Presque Isle health care facility. He was born Jan. 6, 1930, in Presque Isle, the son of Ferd and Hazel (Morehouse) McIntyre. He served in U.S. Army in Alaska, during the Korean War. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He loved playing with his grandchildren and enjoyed woodworking. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jean (Gardiner) McIntyre of Presque Isle; three daughters, Susan Chandler and her husband, Curt, of Orono, Lori McIntyre and her companion, Ed Koch Jr. and Lisa LeGassie and her husband, Joe, all of Presque Isle; five grandchildren, Case Chandler, Tara White, Anthony White, Trevor LeGassie and Meghan LeGassie; one great-granddaughter, Lily Chandler; two brothers, Harold McIntyre of Gillette, Wyo., and Reginald McIntyre and his wife, Sally, of Presque Isle; and four sisters, Pauline Willette, Marie Bates, Thelma Parks, all of Presque Isle, and Charlotte Lowe and her husband, Paul, of Frostproof, Fla. Albert was predeceased by a brother, Edward McIntyre; and two sisters, Marilyn Wallace and Blanche Browne. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at Fairmount Cemetery with Pastor Darren Bonville officiating. Those who wish may donate in his memory to Hospice of Aroostook, P.O.
