DIXMONT – Aletha M. Ledin, 91, died Aug. 16, 2006, at her Dixmont home after a long illness. She was born May 2, 1915, in Clinton, the daughter of Abbott and Millie (Tuttle) Estes. She was a graduate of Maine Central Institute in Pittsfield, Class of 1933. She was married to Everett Ledin, who died November of 1968. Aletha loved her home, family and taking care of her flowers. She is survived by one son and his wife, William and Jean Ledin of Dixmont; one daughter and her husband Carlah and William Kramer, of Mashpee, Mass.; seven grandchildren, Kristin, Carl, David, Char-lotte, Brenda, Darlene and Dana; four great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her sister, Beverly Greene; and her brother, Leroy Estes. Graveside funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 18, at Riverside Cemetery, Newport, with the Rev. Timothy Boone officiating. There will be no public visiting hours.
