STONINGTON – Alfred Allen Clough, 21, died unexpectedly Sunday, Dec. 17, 2006. He was born July 18, 1985, in Blue Hill, the son of Theresa Gove and Jay Clough, both of Stonington. Alfred enjoyed playing basketball, video games, spending times with friends and family. He had a passion for music and enjoyed singing. Most recently he made a rap song about his best friend, Roger Hardy. He was very fond of cats. He loved spending time with his special friend, Jess Eaton and her three children. With a love for the ocean, he enjoyed lobstering and being on the water. His favorite holiday was Christmas and he enjoyed playing Santa for his family. He will be sadly missed by two brothers and a sister; and a very special friend, Delbert Gross. He is survived by his mother, Theresa Gove and her fiance, Cory Webb; his father, Jay Clough and his fiance, Maryann Bowden, all of Stonington; his two brothers, Joshua and Jason Clough and companion, Miranda; a sister, Elizabeth Clough, all of Stonington; a stepsister, Dana Bowden of Stonington; his paternal grandfather, Puppa John Ames of Stonington and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He is also survived by his two cats, Curtis and Buddy. He was predeceased by his best friend, Roger Hardy; his paternal grandmother, Elva Ames; his paternal grandfather, Chester Allen Clough; his maternal grandparents, Augustus and Elenora (Eaton) Gove; and step maternal grandfather, Herbert R. Connors. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 21, at the Mount Rest Cemetery, Stonington.
