JONESBORO – Alfred Fieldman, 87, died Nov. 5, 2004, of renal failure. He was born June 12, 1917, in New York City. He was retired from Exxon Tankers since 1970. He leaves his wife of 63 years, Virginia; a niece, Carol Gjertsen; and a nephew, Teddy Jurkops; many great-nieces and great-nephews. Downeast hospice couldn’t have been more helpful, they were so constant and consoling all of the time since August.
