CLIFTON – Alfred J. Dubay 81, passed away early Sunday morning, May 30, 2004, at a Brewer health-care facility. He was born June 7, 1922, in Old Town, son of the late Fred and Susan (Martin) Dubay. Alfred was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of Old Town VFW Post 3381, and Orono American Legion Post 84. He was employed with Georgia Pacific paper mill for 20 years, retiring in 1984. He enjoyed restoring antique automobiles and spending time with his family. He is survived by a daughter, Marlene Cohen of Brewer; daughter, Pamela Shaw of Argyle; son, Kevin Dubay and his wife, Sandra, of Old Town; four grandchildren, Alisha Morrarty and her husband, Robert, of Clifton, Kristin Dubay of Old Town, Kyle Dubay of Old Town, Kailynn Dubay of Old Town; two great-grandchildren, Andrew and Alexis Morrarty of Clifton; sister, Marion Nolan of Old Town; brother, Philip Dubay and his wife, Dorothy, of Bangor; sister, Alfreda Borkowski of Old Town; several nieces and nephews. The family extends a special thank you to Brewer Rehab Center staff for their continuous care and compassion to their father. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Mary E. (McGinn) Dubay, of 50 years. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town, where the VFW will conduct a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Riverside Cemetery in Orono, with the Rev.
