SANGERVILLE – Alfreda H. Conner, 81, wife of the late Paul E. Conner, died Aug. 28, 2007, at a Dexter nursing home. She was born Aug. 27, 1926, in Lee, the daughter of Leland and Velma (Green) Hanscom. Alfreda had worked for 22 years as a cook for SAD 4. She is survived by six children, Velma Grant and her husband, Jim, of Dexter, Darrell Conner and his wife, Tootie, of Palmyra, Paula Conner of New Hampshire, Steven Conner and his wife, Carol, of Dover-Foxcroft, Kevin Conner and his wife, Mary, of Plymouth, and Lynette Hanscome and her husband, Kenny, of Guilford; a brother, Richard Hanscom; five sisters, Ethel Lewis, Kay Bemis, Emmajean Bryant, Margaret Henderson, and Wilma Muller; 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She will be remembered by special friends, Clifford and Marilyn Braley, and their family. She was predeceased by a brother, Guvanus Hanscom; and a sister, Althea Marsh. Graveside services will be conducted 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 2, at the family lot at Sangerville Village Cemetery. After the service, friends and family are invited to share in a celebration of Alfreda’s life at the home of Steve and Carol, 107 Park St., Dover-Foxcroft.
