WOODLAND – Inez Helen Connolly, 78, wife of the late Jon Connolly I, died Aug. 30, 2007, at her residence. She was born Aug. 25, 1929, in New Sweden, the daughter of the late Hiram “Babe” and Emily (Cochran) Langley. She was employed at Birdseye Division of General Foods and at Cary Medical Center for many years, and most recently at Sports Inn. Inez was an avid gardener and loved the outdoors, picking berries and fiddleheads. She was an accomplished seamstress and will be fondly remembered for her fine quilts, knitted and crochet items that she gave to many. She also enjoyed singing karaoke. Inez was a loving and devoted wife and mother to her family. She is survived by two sons, Jon Connolly and wife, Vanessa, of Woodland, and Harvey “Butch” Johnston and wife, Alice, of Palm Coast Fla.; two daughters, Beverly Hunt and husband, James, of Caribou, and Tammie Crouch and fianc?, Chris Fournier, of Woodland; 13 grandchildren, and several great-grand-children. Mrs. Connolly was predeceased by her husband, Jon, in 2003. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 3, from the chapel of Mockler Funeral Home with the Rev. Loretta Doody officiating. Interment will be at Woodland Cemetery.
