BUNKER’S HARBOR – Alice A. Marshall Temple, 88, passed away Monday, Nov. 29, 2004, at her home with her family by her side. She was born July 1, 1916, in Bangor the daughter of Bernice E. Getchell and Harold B. Marshall. She is predeceased by her husband, Lewis F. Temple; and a daughter, Elizabeth M. Reading. Surviving are two sons, Marshall L. Temple and his wife, Theodora, and Frederick Temple, all of Gouldsboro; four daughters, Shirley A. Henson and her husband, David, of Amarillo, Texas, Eleanor C. Columbia of Springvale, Bernice E. Guyton and her husband, James, of Gouldsboro, and a special daughter, Marylyn McAuliffe, who, along with her daughter Joan McAuliffe, were Alice’s caregivers for six years and cared for her tirelessly; 29 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, several great- great-grandchildren; a brother, Horace Getchell and his wife, Gwen, of Raymond; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Alice worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 17 years and also worked as a senior companion. She was a member of Alcyone Chapter No. 71, O.E.S. in Milbridge. Friends are invited to visit with the family 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, at the Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home, 215 Main St., Ellsworth. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 2, at the Birch Harbor Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Thomas, pastor, officiating. Interment will be at Birch Harbor Cemetery.
