BLOOMFIELD, Conn. and SOUTH BROOKSVILLE – Alice Baker Mulliken, 90, formerly of North Dartmouth, Mass. and Little Compton, R.I., died Thursday, Nov. 24, 2005. She was the beloved wife of the late William E. Mulliken. Alice was born in Lowell, Mass. to the late Isabella Knight and Clair Baker. She attended Wellesley College and was the executive secretary of Friends Academy in North Dartmouth, Mass., for 17 years where her husband was headmaster. Alice was an accomplished artist and a most generous humanitarian. Her sweetness, kindness and patience will be sorely missed. The lessons she so quietly taught by her own example will live on through those whose lives she touched. She was predeceased by her sister, Margaret Burns. She leaves her daughter, Susan K. Mulliken of New Braintree, Mass.; two sons, Peter B. Mulliken and his wife, Peggy, of Franklin, Mass.; and William E. Mulliken III and his wife, Eileen, of Blue Hill; seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
