FORT KENT – Alice (Dubois) Dubois, 90, died Dec. 19, 2004, at a Frenchville nursing home. She was born Aug. 5, 1914, in Fort Kent, the daughter of Paul and Leocadie (Deschaine) Dubois. Alice worked at Northern Maine Medical Center for 28 years, she was also one of the first people to work at Princes Kent Inc. and at the Potato Stick Factory on East Maine Street. Alice belonged to the Ladies of St. Anne and was a past member of the Catholic Order of Foresters both of Fort Kent. She will be remembered for her wonderful smile. She loved the outdoors, and picking potatoes during the harvest season. She is survived by five daughters, Rena Mae and her husband, Robert Beans of Martinsburg, W.Va., Blanche and her husband, Real Blanchette of Fort Kent, Dorilda Dubois of Virginia Beach, Va., Dora J. Smith and her fianc?, Allen Stadig, both of Soldier Pond and Norma Dubois of Fort Kent; two sisters, Alma Gagnon of Frenchville and Jean Robbins of South Portland; 19 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. In addition to both her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Rene Dubois in 1986; one son, Paul Dubois; an infant daughter, and three sisters, Eva, Emma and Delia. Friends may call at the Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday until time of service. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday at the St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent, with the Rev. Claude Gendreau officiating. Those who wish may donate in her memory to the St. Joseph’s Activity Department, P.O. Box 469, Frenchville, ME 04745. Spring burial will be held May 18, 2005, in the parish cemetery.
