ORONO – Helen Irene Wickett, 91, of Old Town, died Feb. 12, 2008, at a local health care facility. Born Nov. 26, 1916, in West Enfield, she was the daughter of Lee and Elizabeth (Kimball) Tozier. Helen worked for many years at Kagan and Lown until her retirement. She loved to garden, crochet and yard sale. She enjoyed sightseeing. She was a very busy lady who also enjoyed refinishing furniture. She was predeceased by her husband, Stanley A. Wickett, April 24, 1992; two sons, Stanley Wickett Jr. and Stephen Wickett; a daughter, Carolyn Daigle; two brothers, Harold Tozier and Lloyd Tozier; and three sisters, Daisy Wickett, Pauline Currier and Edna Tozier. She is survived by two sons, Henry Wickett and his wife, Jenny, of Florida, and Lloyd Wickett and his wife, Jane, also of Florida; two daughters, Helen St. Louis of Milford, and Betty Jackson and her husband, Mahlon, of Stillwater; three sisters, Margary Dam of Passadumkeag, Gloria Reed of Passadumkeag and Alberta Cole of Old Town; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. The family thanks Orono Commons for their excellent care during Helen’s stay with them. Visiting hours will be held 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17, at Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town, where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 18, with the Rev.
