EAST MILLINOCKET – Alice J. Main, 81, wife of the late Cecil Main, died Jan. 24, 2004, at a Bangor hospital. She was born June 16, 1922, in East Millinocket, the daughter of Ellis and Daisey (Reynolds) Thompson. She is survived by one son and his companion, John Friel and Elaine Willigar of East Millinocket; two brothers and their wives, Malcolm Thompson and Liz of Longmeadow, Mass., Reynold Thompson and Laura of Winter Haven, Fla.; six grandchildren, Paul Jr., Maria, Jimmy, Gary, John Friel, and Aimee Campbell; eight great-grandchildren; special great-niece, Deanna Thompson of Orrington; several other nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Betty O’Neill of East Millinocket. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son, Paul Friel; two sisters, Dolly M. Penney and Faye Main. A service of remembrance will be held later this spring.
