FORT FAIRFIELD and LIMESTONE – Alice Kenneson Ayoob George, 91, died Sunday afternoon, May 7, 2006, at a Van Buren nursing facility after a brief illness. She was born Aug. 1, 1914, in Limestone, the daughter of Jesse D. and Ethel A (Gallagher) Kenneson. Alice attended Limestone schools and was married to George Ayoob in 1933. After the death of Mr. Ayoob in 1971, Alice was later remarried to Louis George in 1973, who predeceased her in 1984. Alice was a communicant of the St. Denis Catholic Church, Fort Fairfield, where she was a member of the Daughters of Isabella, Santa Maria Circle No. 427. Alice was a dedicated Red Sox fan, enjoyed golfing and was especially fond of Tiger Woods. She loved playing cards and was especially proud of the detailed genealogy that she compiled regarding the Kenneson family tree, which was organized into book form with the help of her son-in-law, Richard Cilley. In addition to her parents, Alice was predeceased by both husbands; one son, Lawrence D. Ayoob; and 16 siblings. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Jacqueline and Richard Cilley of Caribou, Andrea and Richard Pelletier of Fort Fairfield; one daughter-in-law, Phyllis Hay Ayoob of Port Orange, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Carol, George, Daniel, Beverly, David, Alice and Haley, several great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. In keeping with Alice’s wishes there will be no calling hours or services at this time. Interment will take place at the St. Denis Catholic Cemetery, Fort Fairfield. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the St. Denis Catholic Church, Fort Fairfield at a later date and time to be announced by the Dorsey Funeral Home, Fort Fairfield.
