CARIBOU – Ella A. Grendell, 86, died Sunday, May 7, 2006, at a Bangor hospital. She was born June 28, 1919, in Chapman, the daughter of Roy E. and Alice May (Robbins) Grendell. Ella graduated high school in 1936. She worked as a clerk for a number of years for W.T. Grant Co., J.J. Newberry’s and the State of Maine in the motor vehicle division. She was predeceased by three brothers, Milton, Melvin, and Ellis; and a sister, Elta Rogalski. She is survived by a sister, Josephine Newbegin of Caribou; several nieces and nephews, several great-nieces and great-nephews. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, May 11, at the Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle, with the Rev. Kevin Kierstead officiating. Friends may call noon until time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Worth-Grendell Cemetery in Chapman.
