BANGOR – Alice Mary Albert, 82, formerly of Bangor, wife of the late Lawrence E. Albert, died Dec. 24, 2005, after a brief illness, at a Dover-Foxcroft hospital. In recent years, Alice had made her home with her granddaughter, Barbara Badger and her husband, Clifford, in Milo. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, fishing and her great-granddaughter’s dog, Roscoe. Surviving are three children, Rosemary Campbell of Bangor, Francis D. Albert of Milo and Michael J. Albert of Framingham, Mass.; two sisters, Annie Sedlar of Milwaukee, Wis. and Frances Mercer of Tampa, Fla.; three special grandchildren, Barbara Badger, Melissa Allen, Brent Campbell and eight other grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Alice was predeceased by a daughter, Betty Perry; son, Larry Albert; one sister, Odella Leonard; and two brothers, Delore Shorette and George “Bud” Shorette. Friends may call 10 a.m.-noon Wednesday, Dec. 28, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where a funeral service will be held at noon with the Rev. Roland Nadeau, chaplain of St. Joseph Hospital, officiating. Spring interment will be in the Hudson Village Cemetery, Hudson.
