ALICE R. LEANHARD HOULTON – Alice Revere Lincoln Leanhard, 97, died Jan. 15, 2004, at a local healthcare facility. She was born Dec. 17, 1906, at Rumford, the daughter of Levi B. and Sarah A. (Jackson) Lincoln. Alice was a graduate of Houlton High School and the University of Maine. She worked at the Barnes Law Office as a legal secretary for many years until her retirement in 1968. She was a member of the First Congregational Church, a former member of the Congregational Guild, the Business and Professional Women and the American Association of University Women. She is survived by a brother, Roger Lincoln and his wife, Ruth, of Houlton; two nephews, Kenneth Lincoln and his wife, Marilyn, of Rockport, Roger Lincoln Jr. and his wife, Dianne, of Houlton; two nieces, Pauline Lally and her husband, James, of Killingworth, Conn., Betty Anderson and her husband, Bill, of Orient; several grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Frank Lincoln; and a nephew, Robert Lincoln. Graveside services will be held at the Evergreen Cemetery at a later date.
