VAN BUREN – Aline Cormier, 87, died peacefully, Jan. 21, 2005, at a Caribou hospital. She was born March 23, 1917, in Lille, the daughter of Alve and Olive (Cyr) Dumond. Aline and her husband Wilfred operated a family potato farm for many years. She enjoyed working in her flower garden, sewing, knitting and crocheting. In later years she taught arts and crafts while living at Pine Tree Apartments. Aline was also very artistic and had painted several landscape sceneries. She is survived by two sons, Roger Cormier and companion, Lisa Michaud, of Glenburn, and Claude Cormier and his wife, Marlene, of Van Buren; two daughters, Marcella Greenwood and her husband, Paul, of Pinellas Park, Fla., Joan Nauss and her husband, William, of Lebanon, Conn.; two brothers, James Dumond of Pinellas Park, Fla. and Armand Dumond of East Hartford, Conn.; one sister, Jeanne Lapierre of Orono; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She will also be missed by special friends, Philip and Joan Gagnon of Van Buren. She was predeceased by her husband, Wilfred Cormier in 1997. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, at the St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church. Spring interment will be in the parish cemetery.
