WOODLAND – Allan C. Kampe, 72, beloved husband of Sylvia R. Kampe, died Sept. 26, 2005, at the Aroostook Medical Center. He was born in Boston, Mass., March 8, 1933, the son of Allan F. Kampe and Dorothy E. (Ekman) Kampe. Allan graduated from Oxford High School, served in the U.S. Army and retired from the Norton Company in Worcester, Mass., after many years of service. Allan was a member of the United Baptist Church of Caribou and served on the Missions Committee and sang in the choir at the church. Allan will be remembered for playing the accordion at various nursing homes, which was his favorite thing to do. Allan has one sister, Nancy E. McGovern of Oxford, Mass.; several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Arlene D. Holmes and by a brother, Kenneth A. Kampe. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 30, 2005, at the Lancaster Morgan Funeral Home, 11 Clover St., Caribou. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, 2005, at the Caribou United Baptist Church, with the Rev. John Kiehn officiating. Interment will be at North Oxford Cemetery, Oxford, Mass. Donations in loving memory of Allan, may be made to the Caribou United Baptist Church, Memorial Fund. Envelopes will be available at both the church and the funeral home.
