EXETER – Alta M. Gould, 78, died Aug. 12, 2007, at her Exeter Road residence. She was born Aug. 18, 1928, in Bridgewater, a daughter of Woodford and Casstella (Parker) Sands. Alta had been employed at Snowflake Canning Co., Eastland Woolen Mill and Dexter Shoe Co. She is survived by her husband, Robert J. Gould Sr. of Exeter; her children, Arlene and the the Rev. Frank Gould of Stetson, Roger and Robin Shaw of Berkley, Mass., Rodney and Donna Shaw of Cor-inna, Brenda Shaw of Exeter, Tammy Gould of Hartland, Rob-ert Gould Jr. of Corinna, and Ellimay Ham of St. Albans; two brothers, Woodford and Gloria Sands, and Fred Sands, all of Bangor; a sister, Gerry Woods of Belfast; 17 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren. Graveside committal services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at Chamberlain Cemetery, Exeter, with the Rev. Frank Gould officiating. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Chapel, 68 Exeter Road, Corinna.
