MONTICELLO – Donald “Don Jay” Honeycutt, 80, died Aug. 13, 2007, at a Presque Isle hospital. He was born Feb. 7, 1927, in Yancey, N.C., the son of Donald Y. and Elizabeth (Price) Honeycutt. Donald served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II and the Korean War. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years of service. He was employed by the city of Ricetown, Hancock County (N.J.) Police Department, until his retirement. He is survived by his wife, Anna (Labrador) Honeycutt of Monticello; four children, Rich-ard Honeycutt of Dover, Del., Theresa Honeycutt Crosby and her husband, Ray, of East Swanson, N.H., Douglas Honeycutt and his wife, Sue, of Westminister, Mass., and Taryl Honeycutt of Littleton; daughter-in-law, Amanda Honeycutt of Hodgdon; 20 grandchildren, three great-granddaughters; three stepchildren, Tonianna Currier and her husband, George, of Littleton, Anthony Robinson and Tamra Robinson, both of Monticello; four stepgrandchildren; brother-in-law and caretaker, George Labrador of Monticello; two special friends Robert Rathburn and Beverly Allen of Massachusetts. He was predeceased by his first wife, Geneva Blevins Honeycutt; two children, Pat-ricia and Sherril Honeycutt; and one brother, Roy Honeycutt. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Dunn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at Houlton Full Gospel Assembly with the Rev. Kevin Hatch officiating.
