JONESBORO – Alton L. Reynolds, 76, passed away Aug. 23, 2005, at a Bangor hospital. He was born April 5, 1929, in Whitneyville, the son of Ivan and Nora (Huntley) Reynolds. Alton was educated in Whitneyville schools. He served in Korea in the U.S. Army. He worked for Dead River in both the Passamaquoddy Lumber business and the Quoddy Building Supply, until he retired. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and trips to Campobello Island. He is survived by a daughter, Sheila Mallar and husband, John Mallar, of Machias; a son, Danny Reynolds and wife, Ellen Reynolds, of Jonesboro; a son, Michael Reynolds and fianc?e, Jeannette Spencer, of Machias; four grandchildren, Jennifer Reynolds-Smith and husband, Gary Smith, Tracey Mallar, Benjamin Reynolds and Nancy Mallar. He was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Hazel (Davis) Reynolds; a son, Mitchell Reynolds; brothers and sisters, Harold Reynolds, Grace Whitney, Elsie White, Lawrence Reynolds and Lois Record. At Alton’s request, services will be private. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Jonesboro. <>
