BRIDGTON – Frances M. Jaquith, 100, died Aug. 24, 2005, at the Bridgton healthcare Center following a long illness. She was born Nov. 15, 1904, in Corinna, the daughter of George and Helen (Currier) Amazeen. She was educated in local schools and also graduated from the Salem Massachusetts School of Nursing where she received her LPN in nursing. Frances did private nursing in Massachusetts and Rhode Island for many years. She was married to Charles V. Jaquith, who died in 1975. She is survived by one stepson, Phillip Jaquith of Downingtown, Pa.; four step grandchildren; two step-great- grandchildren; and six great- great-grandchildren. She is also survived by four nieces and one nephew, Sheryl Drew of Bridgton, Ruth Carter of Bangor, Edith Young of Corinth, Charlotte Rowe of Etna, and Francis Lurvey of New Hampshire. Graveside services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday at Mount Hope cemetery in Bangor. Friends and relatives are asked to meet at the Superintendent’s Cottage at 12:45 p.m. to be taken to the gravesite.
