WOLCOTT, Conn. and FORT KENT – Alvine (Pelletier) (Dumond) Berube, 92, died Oct. 12, 2004, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Connecticut. She was the wife of the late Fleurant Dumond and Edwin Berube. Alvine was born Dec. 17, 1911, in Fort Kent, the daughter of the late Belone T. and Sara (Charette) Pelletier. She was a member of the St. Pius X Church and the Wolcott Senior Association. She enjoyed playing cards, cooking and was an avid bingo player. She is survived by her daughter, Bertha Madore of Wolcott, Conn.; five grandchildren, Linda Martin, Monica Dileo, Robert Madore, Ronald Madore, and Brian Madore; three great-grandchildren, Melissa Roy, Steven Martin and Casey Madore; and three great-great-grandchildren, Ste-ven Madore Jr., Jashua Roy and Shea Martin. She was predeceased by her son, Thomas Berube. Friends may call at the Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home in Fort Kent 9 a.m. Monday, Oct. 18, until the time of service. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday 10 a.m. at the St. Louis Catholic Church in Fort Kent with the Rev. Bill Labbe officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
