SUNSET, DEER ISLE – Alyce B. Varisco, 84, wife of the late Edward Varisco, died Tuesday, March 22, 2005, at her home in Sunset. She was born Nov. 30, 1920, in Little Deer Isle, the daughter of Arthur H. and Myrtie E. (Howard) Billings. Alyce was a member of the R.L.D.S. Church. Alyce is survived by two children, Larry Varisco and his wife, Judy, of Holden, Norma Mackenzie and her husband, Leslie, of Sunset; three sisters, Essie Haskell of Deer Isle, Rhoda Carter and Jeanette Mitchell, both of Stonington; a sister-in-law, Lenora Billings; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by two sisters, Ramona Eaton and Sabrina Sellers; two brothers, Gene and Galen Billings. At Alyce’s request, a private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Gifts in memory of Alyce may be sent to the Hancock County Homecare and Hospice, P.O.
