FORT KENT – Amanda Charette, 95, died Oct. 3, 2005, at a local healthcare facility. She was born June 5, 1910, in Fort Kent, the daughter of Denis and Josephine (Voisine) Theriault. Amanda was an avid knitter, quilter, gardener and a great cook. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by eight children and their spouses, Glenda Johnston and her husband, Richard, of South Windsor, Conn., Lorraine Fortin and her husband, James, of New Britian, Conn., Jeannette Bourgoin of Bloomfield, Conn., Rowena Bernier and her husband, Stewart, of Weatogue, Conn., Edmond and his wife, Rena, of Plainville, Conn., Donald of Soldier Pond, Lincoln and his wife, Louisette, of Plainville, Conn. and Carrol and his wife, Mary Ann, of Southington, Conn.; four sisters, Sadie Levesque, Izy Thibodeau, Mamie Theriault and Evelyn Theriault; one brother, Yvon Theriault; 26 grandchildren, several great-grand-children. In addition to both her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Willard, in 1980; a son, Harold, in 1955; a son-in-law, Raymond Bourgoin in 1989; a grandchild, Kenneth Bourgoin in 1987; and three sisters, Daly Pelletier, Laura Conley and Theresa Lavoie. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday until time of service at Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday, at the St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent with the Rev. Paul Labree officiating. Committal service will follow in the parish cemetery.
