PITTSFIELD – Anah M. Worthen, 81, died Sept. 25, 2006, at a Concord, N.H. nursing home. She was born Oct. 7, 1924, in Pittsfield, a daughter of Austin and Sadie (Turner) Starbird. Anah lived in Pittsfield for most of her life and attended the First Church of The Nazarene. She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Worthen; and a son, Harry Worthen. She is survived by five daughters, Laura Meader, Loretta Bessy, Linda and Rosie Worthen, all of New Hampshire, and Rebecca Noble of Palmyra; a sister, Doris Reynolds of China; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren. Friends may call 2-4 p.m. Monday at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main St., Newport, where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 3, with the Rev. Philip McGlauflin officiating.
