PRESQUE ISLE – Wilbur L. Clark, 87, died Sept. 25, 2006, at a Bangor hospital. He was born May 17, 1919, in Houlton, the son of Peter N. and Elizabeth (Woodard) Clark. He served in the U.S. Army medical corps during World War II in Germany, Austria and France. He was a member of the Ray Goding Post No. 88 American Legion, Presque Isle Rotary Club, VFW and Elks Club, Houlton. He loved music and loved to hear his son play his guitar, was an avid reader, enjoyed camping, doing crossword puzzles and working his computer. He is survived by two sons, Wilbur L. Clark Jr. of Presque Isle, Thomas H. Clark and his wife, Heidi, of Mapleton; a daughter, Patricia Alley and her husband, John, of Presque Isle; two grandchildren and two stepgrandchildren; a sister, Shirley McNinch of Houlton; a special nephew, Norman and his wife, Carole Clark, of Baileyville; his extended family, Sharon Chase, Ammie and James Dawson Toby, all of Houlton and Barbara D’Angelo of Stacyville. He was predeceased by his wife, Priscilla (Bouchard) Clark; a son, Gregory Andrew Clark; a sister, Geraldine Brewer; three brothers, Robert, Herbert and Eugene Clark. Relatives and friends may call 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Presque Isle with the Rev. Raymond Morency, celebrant. Interment will be at St. Mary’s North Main Street Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Mark and Emily Turner Memorial Library, 39 Second St. Presque Isle, ME 04769.
