PRENTISS – Andrew P. Dill, 49, husband of Renita (Brown) Dill, passed away June 8, 2008, surrounded by his loving family at home, after a courageous battle with cancer. Andy was born March 16, 1959, in Lincoln, the seventh child of Benjamin and Bernice (Worster) Dill. Andy operated heavy equipment most of his life. His passion was landscape excavating, which he was an artist at. Throughout the years he had been employed by Thompson Trucking, Thornton Forest Products, Hanington Lumber, T.E. Linscott and Robin Crawford & Son. Andy was a great husband, father, brother, son, uncle and friend to all who knew him. He loved hunting, fishing, sledding up north with his buddies, shooting pool and hanging out at his garage, riding his motorcycle cross-country with his brother, boating, spending time with his family and staying at his cabin on Deering Lake. He is survived by his loving wife, Renita; three daughters, Kristy Worster and Chris Turner of Lincoln, Natasha Brown and Michael Bartlett of Weston and Tara Brown and Dustin Carter of Etna; one grandson, Darian Andrew Worster of Lincoln; a granddaughter, “Little Miss Carter” to be born in July; one brother and best friend, Benjamin and Jera Dill of Prentiss; seven sisters, Elizabeth Baker, Rebecca and Mike Wood, all of Bangor, Bonnie and Lawrence Bedford of San Antonio, Barbara and Mike Ward of Prentiss, Nancy Dill and Steve Harrington of Greenville, Thelma and Jim Daly of Lakewood, Colo., and Annabelle and Jeff Kelman of Glenburn; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Hubert and Beatrice Brown of Wytopitlock; brothers and sisters-in-law, Cary and Ardis Brown, Tonya Brown and Mark Kneeland, Carmela Brown and Roger Parker, Garrett Brown and Chandra and Danny Campbell; foreign exchange daughters, Nicola Thommes of Germany, Cristina Rodriguez of Spain; Devin King and Justin Tozier, who were like his sons; great friends, Peter Clark and John White; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his mother in 2000 and his father in 2001. A celebration of Andy’s life will be held 2 p.m. Friday, June 13, at Andy and Renita’s home, Tar Ridge Road, Prentiss.
