FARMINGTON, Conn. – Priscilla (Hardy) Bennett, 87, wife of the late Frank E. Bennett, passed away Friday, June 6, 2008, at a Hartford, Conn., hospital. Born in Bangor, she was a former New Britain, Conn., resident, moving to Farmington, Conn., in 1966. A graduate of Bangor High School, she received her bachelor’s degree in music from the University of Maine, Orono, in 1943 and a master’s in elementary education from Central Connecticut State College. Priscilla was an elementary school teacher at several schools in New Britain, Conn., for 25 years, retiring in 1985. She was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church, Bangor, New Britain, Conn., and recently in West Hartford, Conn.; served as president of the New Britain, UMW, was a member of the Cardiac Rehab Group at the New Britain, Conn., YMCA for 20 years and was a former member of Martha Chapter, Order of Easter Star. Priscilla also belonged to Farmington Senior Citizen Center and its knitting group, was a member of Alumni Club of the University of Maine, Kappa Delta Pi Sorority and Monday Morning Mission at West Hartford, Conn., United Methodist Church. Surviving is a son, Garry Bennett and his wife, Katherine, of Avon, Conn.; a daughter, Carolyn D’Annolfo and her husband, Kenneth, of Farm-ington, Conn.; a brother, Malcolm D. Hardy of Hampden; three grandsons, Kenneth D’Annolfo of Canton, Conn., Brian D’Annolfo and his wife, Amy, of Unionville, Conn., and Scott Bennett of Plainville, Conn.; two great-grandsons, Cody and Evan D’Annolfo; a cousin, Edward Hardy and his wife, Helen, of Florence, Mass.; and three nephews, David, Timothy and Jonathan Hardy. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, June 29, at West Hartford United Methodist Church, 1358 New Britain Ave., West Hartford, Conn. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Bangor. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the University of Maine Foundation, Joseph R.
