PLEASANT POINT – Andrew J. Moore Sr., 77, died Thursday, May 1, 2008, at his home. He was born Nov. 22, 1930, in Pleasant Point, the son of Frederick and Mary (Neptune) Moore. Andrew was known for being a hard worker, and an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. Andrew was predeceased by his wife, Lucielle (Lola) Moore; and son, Raymond “Dickie” Lola. Survivors include children and spouses, Gary and Adele Moore, Elizabeth and Darren Dana, all of Pleasant Point, Maria Socabasin and fiance, John Alaniz, of Texas, Andrew J. Moore Jr., Peter Neptune Jr. and fiancee, Lindsay Moore, and Francis Neptune, all of Pleasant Point; brothers, Fred, Raymond and James Moore, all of Pleasant Point; grandchildren, Doug and Brittani Leighton, Molly Moore, Celeste Alaniz, and Hailie and Neveah Neptune; great-grandchildren, Jaylen Moore and Journey Leighton; special nieces, Veronica Moore of Florida and Rose Newell of Pleasant Point. He will be missed by his special friends, Barbara Newell and all his poker buddies, numerous nieces and nephews and his dog killer. Friends may call starting 2 p.m. Friday until 9 a.m. Monday at his home, 8 Back Road, Pleasant Point. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Monday at St. Ann Catholic Church, Pleasant Point.
