ANGEL STAR RUTH-CARTWRIGHT BRADENTON, Fla. – Angel Star Ruth-Cartwright, 36, died June 10, 2007, after a heart and lung operation in California, with her husband, David, at her side. Angel was born Sept. 14, 1970, in Bristol, Conn., the daughter of Claudia Caron Trecartin of Smyrna Mills and Herbert Ruth Sr. formerly of Houlton. Angel was a member of a ceramics guild in Bradenton, Fla., and was the owner and operator of My Dreams Ceramics, which she cherished. She collected hundreds of ceramic molds and made and distributed them within her shop. She was also a certified ceramics teacher. Angel was a 1988 graduate of the Southern Aroostook Community School. She moved to Bradenton, Fla., in 1989 with her mother and brother. She met the love of her life, David, in the years to follow and married in 1992. In addition to her husband, David, she is survived by her four loving children, Thaddrick, age 14, Chrissy, age 14, Damin, age 11 and Brandon, age 10. They currently reside in Bradenton, Fla. Angel is also survived by her mother, Claudia Caron Trecartin of Bradenton, Fla.; her father, Herbert Ruth Sr. of Woodstock, New Brunswick; stepmother, Gail Ruth also of Woodstock, New Brunswick; stepfather, Gary of Milford; two brothers, Herbert “Jay” Ruth Jr. of Bradenton, Fla., and his wife, Brenda, and Tony Ruth Sr. of Milford; and one sister, Jennifer Ruth of Woodstock, New Brunswick. She was a loving aunt to several nieces and nephews, Kristina Ruth, age 16, of Bradenton, Fla., Davey Ruth and Tony Ruth Jr. of Bradenton, Fla., Ilana Urquhart, age 13, and Kaitlyn Urquhart, age 8, of Woodstock, New Brunswick. She was predeceased by one sister, Eleanor Marie Ruth. Angel was a devoted mother, wife, sister, daughter and friend. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her. A memorial will be held Sunday, July 1, in Bradenton, Fla., at her shop instead of a funeral.
