FORT KENT – Angelina Simon, 97, died Sept. 17, 2005, at a Madawaska healthcare facility. She was born Sept. 15, 1908, in Eagle Lake the daughter of Joseph and Egline (Charette) Simon. Angelina loved cooking, knitting and sewing for her family and friends. She graduated from Madawaska Training School in 1929, and taught school for several years. She also worked as an inspector at the Page Potato Factory and at J.C. Penny’s and W.T. Grant stores for several years. She was predeceased by three brothers and three sisters-in-law, Ronald and his wife, Gladys, Louis and his wife, Irene, Camille and his wife, Virginia; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Margaret Guerette and her husband, Mack, and Cecile Smith. Surviving are several nieces nephews and cousins, James Guerette of Guerette, Hope Smith and her son, of Alaska, Maxine Hines of Alaska, Roger Simon of Woodland, Leila Dubek of Southern Maine, Jackie Simon of California, Paula Theriault of Fort Kent and Mark Gagnon of Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21, at the St. Louis Catholic Church in Fort Kent. Committal services will follow in the parish cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, 14 East Main St., Fort Kent.
