BELFAST – Anita J. DeCormier, 60, died Nov. 2, 2006, at Harbor Hill, Belfast. She was born Dec. 6, 1945, in Sanford, daughter of Romeo and Theresa (Bowden) DeCormier. Anita graduated from Sanford schools. In addition to being a devoted daughter, she served her Lord through her ministry at St. Paul Center, Augusta; St. Pious X Catholic Church, Portland; St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Rockland; the Catholic Committee on Scouting and St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Belfast. She also expressed her creativity through art and a variety of crafts. She enjoyed remarkable connections with both her human and feline friends. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Court Street, Belfast, with Fr. Joseph Koury and Fr. Bob Vaillancourt officiating. Interment will be after the service at Monroe Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast.
