FORT KENT – Anna (Gagnier) Daigle, 91, died March 2, 2004, at a Fort Kent healthcare facility. She was born March 8, 1912, in St. John, the daughter of Alcime and Anastasie (Daigle) Gagnier. Anna was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne in St. John and Fort Kent. One of her favorite pastimes was making crafts, especially miniature Santa heads. She is survived by four children, Lucille and her husband, William Loder, of Oakton, Va., Almon Daigle and his wife, Joan, of Terryville, Conn., Leola and her husband, Alan, of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., Robert Daigle and his wife, Sandy, of Springfield, Va.; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Leo A. Daigle in 1994; her son, Bennette Daigle; two sisters, Alma Faulkner and Emma Gagnier; two brothers, Alphee and Lawrence Daigle. Friends may call at the Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home in Fort Kent 7-9 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. Friday until time of departure for St. John. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday at the St. John Catholic Church in St. John with the Rev. Claude Gendreau officiating. Spring burial will be held 10 a.m. May 29, 2004, in the parish cemetery.
