HOULTON – Anna H. Denton, 100, died Feb. 13, 2006, at a local healthcare facility. She was born March 29, 1905. Anna resided in Dover-Foxcroft before moving to Houlton in 1958, where she worked as a teacher in Houlton schools for many years. She was a friend to all she knew, bridge partner to many and champion of the daily crossword puzzle. She is survived by her son, Richard Denton and his wife, Susan, of Topsfield, Mass.; two grandchildren, Sarah Denton Stansfield and her husband, Chris, of Londonderry, N.H. and Richard Bradford Denton and his wife, Heather, of Danvers, Mass.; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. April 1, at the First Congregational Church with the Rev. Dale Holden officiating.
