MACHIAS – Anna M. Reeves, 90, died June 8, 2004, at a Machias healthcare facility. She was born June 22, 1913, at Machias, the daughter of Fred and Emily (Davis) Clark. She was a member of the Jacksonville Grange, the Machias Senior Citizens and the R.L.D.S. Church in Machias. Anna enjoyed bird watching and the C.B. radio, where her call sign was “Birdwatcher”. She always enjoyed music especially gospel as well as playing bingo, in her younger days she liked the cowboy movies and shows and dancing. She is survived by four daughters, Betsy Flood and husband, Wilmont, of Jonesboro, Susie Wood and husband, Clayton, of Machiasport, Nancy Wood and husband, Lewis, of Machiasport, and Mary White and husband, Newell; 20 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren; six great-stepgrandchildren; and three more great-great-grand-children on the way; one brother, Christopher Clark of Westbrook; a sister-in-law, Thursea Clark of Bangor; a brother-in-law, Fabian Thistlewood and wife, Lois, of Jonesport; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She will also be remembered by a dear friend and roommate, Katherine Schoopee of Machias. In addition to her parents, Anna was predeceased by her husband, Paul Reeves, in 1965; four sisters; and 10 brothers. A graveside memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, June 12, 2004, at the Jacksonville Cemetery, East Machias, with Elder John Woodman officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Resident Activity Fund of the Marshall Health and Rehab Facility, 9 Beal St., Machias, ME 04654.
