MILLINOCKET – Anna S. Benson, 92, died Friday, July 1, 2005, at a local healthcare facility on. She was born May 16, 1913, in Bath, the daughter of John and Flora (Willis) Smith. Mrs. Benson was a graduate of Morse High School. She was a past president of the Women’s Relief Corps No. 159, of East Douglas, Mass. She was a member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church where she was involved with St. Andrew’s Women’s Guild. Anna was a long-time member of the Plus and Minus Club in Millinocket. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Jeannine Benson of Millinocket; her grandchildren, Thomas Benson of Tucson, Ariz., John Benson and wife, Melissa, of Millinocket, Wanda Dami and husband, John, of Whitefield, N.H., and Travis Benson and wife, Tiffany, of Biddeford; 12 great-grand-children; and several nieces and nephews. Anna was predeceased by her husband, Donald H. Benson; three sisters, Ruby, Florence, and Mary, and one brother, Albert. A memorial service will be held at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church at a date to be announced.
