WASHBURN – Anna V. Springer, 74, died Sunday, Dec. 17, 2006, at her residence. She was born Dec. 21, 1931, in Caribou, the daughter of John Wesley and Virginia Jessie (Little) Drost. Anna was a devoted mother and grandmother. She loved her animals, enjoyed artistic painting and she liked to cook. She is survived by a son, Calvin O’Clair and his wife, Jacqlyn Gail, of Washburn; three daughters, Debbie Corey of Washburn, Nancy Legassie of Ashland and Penny Scott and her husband, Russell, of Washburn; four brothers and their wives, Sonny and Jean Marie Drost of Washburn, Jack and Bernice Drost of Sullivan, Donald and Faye Drost of Woodland, Johnnie and Debbie Drost of Washburn; two sisters, Bernice Farley Pelletier and her companion, Robert Huston, of Washburn and Judy Drost and her husband, Willie, of Washburn; eight grandchildren, eight great-grand-children; two sisters-in-law, Rena Drost of Washburn and Shirley Drost of Presque Isle, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Harvey M. Springer Jr. in January 2006; three brothers, Glenwood, Leland and Roland Drost; and a sister, Ketter Akerson. There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 21, at Hillside Grove Cemetery, Crouseville, with the Rev. Bruce Blakeney, officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to Calvin’s home, 33 Everett Road, Washburn, for a time of fellowship and refreshments after the burial.
