HERMON – Anne D. Bohm, 61, died Monday, Aug. 4, 2008, at a local hospital, after a brave struggle with cancer. She was born Sept. 17, 1946, in Bangor, the daughter of Joseph S. and Florence A. Dinsmore. In 1956 her family moved to California, where she met and married James D. Bohm. They were married Aug. 19, 1967. With their two children, James and Anne returned to Bangor in 1974. For 23 years Anne served as secretary at Columbia Street Baptist Church. Her complete commitment to the Christian ministry of the church and to the lives and individual needs of its members endeared her to many. She always had time and an understanding heart for others. In addition to her mother, Florence Dinsmore, Anne is survived by her husband, James; her son, James W.J. and wife, Rochelle, and their sons, Joshua J. and Joseph W. These grandsons were special blessings to Anne. Anne was devoted to her daughter, Stephanie Seavey and her husband, Christopher, who also survive her. Surviving also are her brother, Joseph S. Dinsmore III; a sister, Emily L. Hanscom and husband, Lance; nephews, Eric Poehlman and wife, Sharon, and Dustin Hanscom; niece, Sarah D. Bellott and husband, Winston; and foster brother, John Boyer and wife, Debbie. Relatives and friends are welcome to call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 6, at Columbia Street Baptist Church with the Rev. Peter Sprague, pastor, officiating.
