JACKSON – Annie H. Cummings, 90, died Feb. 11, 2006, at a local hospital. She was born Oct. 24, 1915, in Attleboro, Mass., the daughter of Ira E. and Essie (Brooks) Caswell. Annie was known for her lovely smile and was a devoted wife who loved her daughter, granddaughter and son-in-law, her church family, her sister and brother and their families. She was known for her delicious fruitcakes and liked to hook rugs, enjoyed sewing, reading, hunting, fishing and gardening. She was a Brownie leader and a member of the Thorndike Congregational Church. Her mother and father predeceased her as well as a sister, Ethel Monaham; and her husband of 51 years, Herbert. Annie is survived by her daughter, Nancy Kragh and husband, Lee, of Jackson; granddaughter, Laurie Kragh of Jackson; her sister, Marjorie Dunlap of New Hampshire; a brother, William Jennings of Oregon; and many wonderful nieces and nephews. A memorial service for Annie and Herbert Cummings will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, at Thorndike Congregational Church, with Pastor George Sadlo, officiating.
