MILFORD – Annie H. Reed, 87, wife of the late James W. Reed, passed away peacefully Sept. 7, 2007, with her loving family at her side. She was born July 16, 1920, on Swans Island, the daughter of Andrew and Dellie (Withee) Watson. Annie was a very loving mother and grandmother. Her life was her family. She was a person always willing to help others, family, friends, etc. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, knitting, playing cards and board games with family and friends. She is survived by four children, James Reed Jr. and his wife, Annette, Mark Reed and his wife, Nancy, William Reed and his wife, Buffy, and Jacqueline Whitmore and her companion, Ken Wood; bro-ther, Clifton Watson and his wife, Ruth; 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Andrew Watson; sister-in-law, Irene Watson; and a special cousin, Margaret Parker. Annie will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her. At her request, there will be no funeral service. A private interment will be held at Lawndale Cemetery, Old Town. Those who wish to remember Annie may make donations in her memory to the American Cancer Society, Children’s Miracle Network or the American Kidney Foundation, care of Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town, ME 04468.
