DEER ISLE – Annie L. Hardie, 84, passed away Feb. 22, 2007, in Deer Isle. She was born Feb. 5, 1923, in Oceanville, the daughter of the late Peter and Mamie (Eaton) Haskell. Annie took great pride in caring for her children and grandchildren over her lifetime. She spent much time making crafts and especially enjoyed crocheting and knitting. Annie was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ Restoration Branch, Sunset. She is survived by her daughters, Estelle Snowden and Val Hadden, both of Oklahoma; son, Reynold Hardie and wife, Barbara, of Deer Isle; daughter, Verona Stevens and husband, John, of Brooklin; and son, Edward Hardie and wife, Diane, of Orland; grandchildren, Rhonda, Jason, Susan, Ronald, Audrey, Carlene, Timothy, Matthew, Benjamin, Katie, Jodie, Nanita and Darren; many great-grandchildren; two sisters, Violet Hartford and Patricia Parks; many nieces, nephews and her many friends at Island Nursing Home. Annie was predeceased by her husband, Wolcott E. Hardie; a son, Wolcott “Bubbie” Hardie; grandson, Vaughn Beckman; great-grandson, Jarvis Oliver; and a brother, Clyde Haskell. Visiting hours will take place 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 25, at Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home, Stonington. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 26, at the Church of Jesus Christ Restoration Branch, Sunset. Interment will take place in the spring at Hillside Cemetery, Deer Isle.
