KENDUSKEAG – Annie May Hasey, 64, passed away peacefully Oct. 6, 2004, at a Bangor hospital after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. She was born March 19, 1940, in Bangor, the daughter of George A. Segar and Elizabeth (Allum) Segar Strickland. Annie took pride in her children and grandchildren and she loved kayaking, watching eagles, sewing, drawing, working and just loved life. She was a member of the New Apostolic Church, Glenburn. She is survived by four children, Dorothy Eva Hazelton and her husband, David, of Kenduskeag, Sherri-anne Garcia and her lifelong companion, David Spinney, of Kenduskeag, Betty Jeanne Robichaud and her husband, Timothy, of Levant, William Allen Hasey Sr. and his companion, Judy Trafton, of Glenburn; two stepdaughters, Stacey Gagnon and Heather Welch; six grandchildren, Shelly-Ann Horn and her husband, Chris, of Florida, Timothy David Hazelton of Kenduskeag, Tiffany Lynn Robichaud and Timothy Joseph “TJ” Robichaud of Levant, William Allen Hasey Jr. of Glenburn and Jeremy David Spinney of Kenduskeag; two stepgrandsons, Andrew and Shawn Gagnon; two great- granddaughters, Katelynn Ann and Destiny Elizabeth Russell; two sisters, Mary Ann Sawyer of New Hampshire and Lillian Bell of Glenburn; a very special stepbrother, Ray Strickland and his wife, Maria; one aunt, Georgie Woodard of Carmel; one uncle, Harold Allum and his wife, Marcia, of Arizona; a special cousin, Donna Peters; a special remembrance for a stepniece, Miss Emmy; and nieces and nephews, Tom Bell, Sonny Shuman, Leslie Shuman, Beth Ward, Rick Ward, Richard Watson, Aaron LaGasse; many other nieces, nephews and cousins. Annie will be remembered by very special and loyal friends, Kendall and Jan Chase, “Bull” and Angie Reeves, Dave and Connie Newburt, Mike and Julie Smith; special friends, Elaine Baron, Irene Hanson and Maxine Given. She was predeceased by her life-long companion and very special friend, Hubert L. Given. A special memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, 2004, at the New Apostolic Church, 2844 Broadway (Route 15), Glenburn. All are welcome. Floral arrangements may be delivered between 9 and 9:30 a.m. at the church. Donations to the church in her memory are welcome and appreciated.
